I live in a 2 bedroom apartment here and it's a delightful experience so far. It's got a furnace, PLENTY of outlets for any needs and a neat little patio. The kitchen is modern and spacious enough! There are no levels or stairs so its super easy for older people to get into as well as handicapped. My neighbors go to church with me and are very friendly. The space and design is super private and no one knows when I come and go which is great😉😉 as opposed to the houses where your neighbors could look out the window and see if your car is there. High ceilings give the place the feeling of a very luxurious house. Inside is cozy and feels like home.

We have friends that live there. It's not super easy to navigate when you're unfamiliar with it, but it doesn't take long to get the feel of the neighborhood layout. There are pools around. And my children enjoyed a playground there.

I lived at this place for two years they were really nice people and they took care of you only part I hated about this place is they came in and redid my whole entire apartment and then raise my rent when I didn't want that to happen. Only reason why I moved out of there I was offered a better and cheaper place to live wish I would have just stayed there.

Let me say one or two things about living here; I have lived here for 16 years now. We have had some ups and downs but I have no plans to leave. I live in a two bedroom apartment. That is just right for me. If I had a wife and a child or two this wouldn't work for us. One cat is my mate. Well maintained, great staff and Angie (and the on-site Manager) has Beena very helpful when I needed her ear. Some people may find her too direct-how about being deceived by a . . you turn your back? Never ever will you be treated in that fashion at Sandpiper Apartments. Nice grounds, great recreation options and the repair team is top notch. Out of some 300 units, most of them are probably occupied. Please visit and decide for yourself. Absolutely no discrimination by the Staff, and if you wave to anyone you see you will generally get a smile and a wave back. Food trucks in the Summer time.

The people who work there are great, From the office ladies all the way to the maintenance people. My only gripe is that nothing has been done to my apartment in 8 years to make it look any better. We've had numerous floods in the apartment and and no carpet has ever been changed. Other than that it's been a pretty good 8 years.

Huge townhouses, quiet & safe community, and affordable prices. The townhouses are so convenient that you cannot hear anyone near you; it is amazing. The managers are really nice; same with maintenance, they are really fast. The reason why it was 4 stars because my wife and I have really outdated appliances when we moved in and everything breaks easily. Also the toilet upstairs is taped on the side for no reason why also when we moved in. Every appliance including the toilets should have been replaced prior to moving in. Also, no one picks up after their dog..Other than that, the place is great. Have been here for almost a year now.

This is one of the best places to stay, the managing staff and maintenance staff are extraordinary!! They are very friendly and very responsive towards all our requests. We rented the townhouse and the floor plan is the best out of all the places that I have seen. They love pets for sure, we only moved out because we got a home. We still miss our home at sandpiper!! I would highly suggest this place to any potential home renters. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable!

My husband and I have lived here for the last two years and it has been amazing. Angie and the staff care about their residents, throw fun events and keep the property beautiful all the time. We have not had ANY maintenance issues in the past two years and everything has been super kept up on. Our thoughts on Sandpiper Apartments: Pros: - No one above or below you, more like a town home then an apartment. We also had a small patio out our back. - We had a garage + two places in front of our unit to park. They didn’t insist that you park in the garage and we were able to leverage it as storage. Ample guest parking. - Grounds are kept very nice, lots of dog waste bags (we have a dog), swimming pools, workout room, doggy wash. - Leasing agents were friendly, responsive and easy to work with, we only worked with Norma and Angie, can’t comment on the others. - Great location. Cons: - Units are a bit tired, multiple coats of paint without proper prep, e.g., walls weren’t cleaned and dust and hair were painted over, also probably lower quality paint. Areas around windowsills were cracked and older/worn. Some tile was dated. - Units do not come with microwave or washer and dryer (although there is a nice space for a washer/dryer). You have to purchase the microwave (if you want one) and you can rent the washer and dryer from Sandpiper or purchase them. We bought ours because we were planning on moving into a home and knew we needed them. Overall, pleasant stay at Sandpiper, we were there for nine months of a 12 month lease. We did have to buy out of our lease which seemed a bit high since we’d stayed there for nearly the entire time, but we signed the contract. Further, rent is competitive with other apartment buildings in the area, however some others that we were interested in included W/D and a microwave. There were other amenities that were more important so it netted out for us, e.g., not having people above/below us, location and nice grounds to walk our dog.

Moved into Sandpiper two months ago. Overall I’d say this property is good, not great. Pros - Very very quiet, private, reasonably priced for the area, clean, central air and great location. Mini private patio makes for nice private bbq or visitors spot. High private fencing is great! Best part, you really can’t hear your neighbors and that’s amazing. Cons - Cheap fixtures & flooring, terrible thermostat (doesn’t regulate temp, we put our own in), narrow ally makes parking difficult (esp when tenants block driveway because they are lazy and don’t want to walk to their cars), limited parking for visitors, absolutely the cheapest paint on walls & cabinets (plan on painting before you leave) and no jacuzzi. Office staff are very friendly and maintenance is quick and kind. Might not be perfect but will definitely do if you appreciate the pros.

I already miss living here. I did 2 and a half years in the 2 bed 1.5 bath unit. I love the privacy that sandpiper allowed and the attached yards. In the summer the utilities get a bit much but that's expected. Maintenance was always amazing. Whenever I had an issue they were at my place same day. A few things I wasnt too pleased with. The gutters were never cleaned out, the gutters on my block were so full that plants, very large plants at that started growing out of them. Due to it we had bugs. The first year I lived there I felt safe and comfortable going to the pools. The second year living there, there was always an outrageous amount of people at the pool which I am pretty sure didn't live there. I understand you are allowed guests at the pool but a whole family reunion is a bit much. Management was always friendly and eager to keep us living there. Wish we stayed but it was getting too pricy for us. If the market crashes and rates get more reasonable we would love to come back.

This place is pet friendly. They have a small gated dog area, and a nice dog wash. One level apts with a small patios. That is what is important to me. They have 3 swimming pools work out room. Close to schools, storesOnly draw back is that I m in a older apts but they do have newer ones too repairs are done fast and well.

We will be moving out at the end of March, as we purchased a house. We have been at Sandpiper for almost 4 years. I'll definitely miss the place. Really great neighborhood, with generally great neighbors. It's a beautiful area. Management is very on top of things, if you need something fixed they will come fix it right away. They are very dog friendly. My only complaint is the noise. There's often construction or gardening early in the morning, or neighbor kids screaming. During the summer there are often large projects being done by the landscaping company (don't get me wrong, the fact that they take care of the place is a good thing) and it can be noisy. The big glass windows are nice for natural light, but you can hear everything that's going on outside, at all times, and there's always something going on outside. Overall I would recommend Sandpiper. We've really enjoyed our time here.

Maintenance requests are always done same or next day and fixed right the first time. The staff is very friendly. Was patient we me and my puppy (I was on a conference call for work and the puppy wanted to jump all over him and play). Great people. Really.

The first week I was here I was a little unhappy with the lack of communication (leaving message and no returned calls) or requesting maintenance that didn't happen in a timely manner but I think they were just very busy at that time as things have been much better. I LOVE this community.. everyone is friendly but keeps to themselves, Everyone loves dogs and the property is beyond beautiful. They keep it very clean and now that summer is here there are beautiful flowers being planted everywhere. For the price and space that you get for that price I'd say this is one of the better places in the area.

I was a tenant here in 2016/17 in a renovated 2 bedroom. The unit was clean, bright and airy and well laid out. . The fixtures were adequate if basic. Walls between units were a bit thin so you must hope for quiet neighbors. The patio and outside gear and tool closet was a great plus. The common facilities-gym, pools and playground were clean. Office staff were pleasant and responsive and maintanance staff were excellent — responsive, courteous and prompt. I would rent again if I return to SLC.

My furnace went out during the night and it also started snowing. I called when the office opened and Steve was out to repair it within 15 - 20 minutes. It was so nice that my apartment was really chilly when I left and I returned to a warm cozy apartment

I love living at Sandpiper. I have been here 1 month. I love my fireplace so i can cuddle up with a book at anytime. The dog friendly community is a bonus since I have two dogs. Alisha and Jessica have been super helpful and fun to work and were so helpful and professional during the application and during my move in. Also, i have had to call maintenance a couple of times in the last month for some minor things, alarm replacement, loose soffit and my thermostat and each time they have taken care of the item in the same business day. The grounds are already looking good and cleaned up for spring time. I am excited for summer time and the pool opening!

I lived at Sandpiper for almost two years and my time there was amazing. Anytime we had even the slightest issue, the maintence team was on it within a couple hours. So kind. They put in a dog wash and it was seriously the best! So convenient not to have to bend down in the tub and get the bathroom dirty. The school park is just around the corner too and it’s so nice because the dog park in the complex is too small for my pup- she loves to run. The three different pools made it nice in the summer. If too many kids were at one, I would just pop over to another to lay out. Having the gardens really taken care of made me feel like my rent was actually being used for good purposes. The apartments themselves are older, but the improvements they have made make them nice. I could never hear my neighbors on either side at all. Just wish they would get rid of the carpets entirely. The fake hardwood is pretty and a lot easier to clean than real hardwood. The big glass sliding door in the back of the apartment is old (as are all of the windows) so be aware for an expensive gas bill in the winter and high electric bill in the summer for the a/c. It wasn’t uncommon to have to shell out $200 for those. Holladay (the city) does have a slight rat problem in general and always has, and we had one scurrying in the back patio, but management said they would take care of it. Haven’t seen him since. I wish we could stay but the company that runs Sandpiper (AMC) ups the rent every year no matter what. It’s their policy. We went from 1250 to 1450+ for a two bedroom one bath. That is a mortgage. Please know that this doesn’t change so if you’re looking for a place long term Sandpiper isn’t it. Even if you have never made a late payment and are the perfect tenents. It eventually pushes people out because it gets to be unaffordable, but that’s how they make their profits- new people, new application fees, security deposits and such. Paper checks to the office by the first of the month were a little old school but the fee for paying online was just too ridiculous to do anything else. Overall, Sandpiper is a really nice apartment complex, it made me feel safe and I never had any issues. If only they didn’t up the rent every year- we would have stayed!

I have called out several neighbors in The distant past due to loud parties, dog barking all day long and parenting issues. We live in a crummy time in this United States, a time of rudeness and disrespect. Sandpiper isn't responsible for any of this in any way. They are open to ALL: gender open, as well as race, country of origin, religious preferences and whatever negative bias you can think of. But it remains a very large apartment complex and you have to expect some clunkers. However Sandpiper doesn't tolerate repeated unacceptable behavior. Check it out for yourself, then trust your own gut.

The maintenance guys and management have been awesome both with any service calls, and with regular maintenance. I had a problem with my AC, they responded the next day and it was fixed promptly. I've never had any incidents with crime or break in's. There is another review (in all caps) that I feel is way off from how it is. Yes, they have you pay for your utilities. Why wouldn't you pay for your gas? or water? Edit: Overall we enjoyed the time we spent at sandpiper. In the end though, they increased rent each year and priced us out of the apartment. We now own and pay close to the same price we would have for rent. I felt like I was targeted to leave so that they could remodel the unit and get even more rent. The fact that we paid rent on time for three years, never late, never any issues, seemed to not count for much of anything. Neither did being clean and not abusing the unit.

Sandpiper Apartments have been so great. They are pet friendly and very quiet. I hardly see any of my neighbors and when I do they are so nice. There are multiple pools and a great workout area. They are currently building a dog park that I'm so excited for. It's so nice to just take a walk around the complex, it's so pretty with lots of grass and bushes and trees. The unit we are in is so nice, it feels like a town home. We have vaulted ceilings and nice counter tops and lanolin flooring that looks like wood. The floors are my favorite! Nothing here resembles an apartment, it's all more town home style with your own little fenced in courtyard. No one above you or below you ever. Just next to you and I never hear my neighbors ever. We have a garage and we love it. There's always lots of uncovered parking next to you for additional parking spots as well. With any maintenance concerns they were quick and happy to fix anything needed. Such a great complex. I recommend anyone to move here! It just feels like home.

My Wife and I are really enjoying the townhouse style apartment we are renting here. Its a good layout for us and there is lots of space. Having a real garage has been really nice and a closed in backyard for the dog. The street we live on is very quite and we never hear the neighbors, just the occasional kids playing or dog. The whole neighborhood is very pretty and laid out nicely. Very Dog and Cat friendly. Lots of pet owners here. Our Dog loves his daily walk around the neighborhood, I like the conveniently placed Poo bags around that make it easily to clean up after your dog. (Wish more people actually picked up their dogs poop though) They really take care of the place, all summer they have been renovating the buildings exteriors keeping everything looking nice. The Office and the maintenance staff are always nice and respond quickly to issues that arise. The Price is on the higher end of the rent spectrum, but you know that going into it. We like this location a lot and would like to stay, We hope they don't raise the rent much at the one year mark.

My Wife and I are really enjoying the townhouse style apartment we are renting here. Its a good layout for us and there is lots of space. Having a real garage has been really nice and a closed in backyard for the dog. The street we live on is very quite and we never hear the neighbors, just the occasional kids playing or dog. The whole neighborhood is very pretty and laid out nicely. Very Dog and Cat friendly. Lots of pet owners here. Our Dog loves his daily walk around the neighborhood, I like the conveniently placed Poo bags around that make it easily to clean up after your dog. (Wish more people actually picked up their dogs poop though) They really take care of the place, all summer they have been renovating the buildings exteriors keeping everything looking nice. The Office and the maintenance staff are always nice and respond quickly to issues that arise. The Price is on the higher end of the rent spectrum, but you know that going into it. We like this location a lot and would like to stay, We hope they don't raise the rent much at the one year mark.

We have lived here for a year in a 2 bed/1 bath apartment. Although it's a little pricy, you expect that in Holladay because it's such a good quiet area to live in. We absolutely love it here. The office has always been very prompt about telling us when there will be construction. Since we've been here they've repainted our neighborhood and replaced all the fences with white vinyl. It looks incredible. There are 3 pools to swim in, all freshly renovated. No bugs here whatsoever, except for the occasional spider. Any time I've had an issues with our toilet or any other part of the apartment the crews here get right on it and it's fixed within the hour. We've run into some personal financial issues and the office has always been very good about working with us to make sure that we can stay current. Amazing place to stay!

We have really enjoyed our time at Sandpiper. We live in one of their two bedroom town homes. It's really awesome to have a garage. The maintenance guys and management have been awesome both with any service calls, and with regular maintenance. I had a problem with my AC, they responded the next day and it was fixed promptly. I've never had any incidents with crime or break in's. There is another review (in all caps) that I feel is way off from how it is. Yes, they have you pay for your utilities. Why wouldn't you pay for your gas? or water? Edit: Overall we enjoyed the time we spent at sandpiper. In the end though, they increased rent each year and priced us out of the apartment. We now own and pay close to the same price we would have for rent. I felt like I was targeted to leave so that they could remodel the unit and get even more rent. The fact that we paid rent on time for three years, never late, never any issues, seemed to not count for much of anything. Neither did being clean and not abusing the unit.

We moved into one of the townhomes in Sandpiper Apartment in Dec 2009. We felt in love with the location, the safe and quiet neighborhood of this Holladay area. We never saw an dog poop around here, but I see ducks walking around all the time. For $900 a month we got 2 huge bedrooms (both have walk in closets) 2 bathrooms, 1 car garage, and a small patio in the back. We love it so much we are going to extend our contracts until we buy a house. I also love the management. They get things done within 24 hrs of notice. Rose is such a sweetheart.
